In accordance with that belief, MCU established a Teacher Education Center in 1996 under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education (MOE). <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">With rich educational resources, MCU was accredited to found Graduate School of Education (GSE) in 2001 under its School of Social Sciences. Later, in 2011, the School of Education and Applied Languages was established and GSE became a part of that from the 1st of August, 2011. GSE has been founded more than 20 years.<\/span><\/p>\n\n<div class=\"col-lg-8\">\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">GSE was accredited to enroll ten students per academic year from 2001. In compliance with the regulations, the student cohort number decreased to eight from 2011. From 2017, GSE was accredited to enroll ten students per academic year. We expect to cultivate students\u2019 talents for educational research and practices and to meet teachers\u2019 needs at primary and secondary schools. The Ministry of Education approved GSE to establish in-service programs in Taipei (2003), Taoyuan (2010) and Kinmen (2013) to promote teachers\u2019 further study and benefit local teachers.
